Daniel Alves Azevedo, de 19 anos, natural da Praia da Sununga, em Ubatuba, é um apaixonado pelo skimboard desde a infância. Crescendo entre as ondas, o mar sempre foi seu espaço de lazer, e o skimboard, sua paixão. Começou a se envolver com o esporte aos 5 anos, inspirado pelos familiares e amigos que deslizavam pelas águas.
Aos 12 anos, Daniel decidiu dedicar-se ao skimboard, participando de competições locais e ganhando experiência nas ondas desafiadoras de Sununga. Sua jornada até o cenário internacional culminou recentemente com um convite especial: representar o Brasil no “El Rey de Lovers”, mundial de Skimboard, que acontecerá de 26 a 28 de abril, em Cabo San Lucas, no México.
Para Daniel, essa oportunidade é a realização de um sonho de infância. “Eu sempre via vídeos dessa praia e pensava que um dia estaria lá. E agora é verdade: eu vou para o México” comenta emocionado. No entanto, ele também reconhece os desafios que enfrentará ao surfar em um ambiente diferente, com condições desconhecidas.
Apesar das incertezas, Daniel está determinado a dar o seu melhor e representar o Brasil com orgulho. Ele vê a presença de outros brasileiros no torneio como uma fonte de inspiração e apoio mútuo. “Essa é a etapa que mais terá brasileiros, serão seis representando o país. Isso vai ser muito bom para mim e todo cenário nacional”, destaca ele.
Daniel Alves Azevedo está preparado para enfrentar as ondas do México com coragem e entusiasmo. Para ele, essa competição não é apenas uma busca por títulos, mas sim a concretização de uma paixão de vida. Ele quer inspirar outros jovens atletas e mostrar que, com dedicação e determinação, os sonhos podem se tornar realidade.
