Integrante do Time São Paulo Paralímpico, criado e patrocinado pelo Governo do Estado de São Paulo através da Secretaria dos Direitos da Pessoa com Deficiência, o ciclista Lauro Chaman conquistou medalha de bronze após alcançar a terceira colocação pela classe c5 (bicicletas convencionais) na prova Scratch (pista), no Mundial de Ciclismo Paralímpico, que ocorre em Glasgow, na Escócia. O campeonato teve início nesta quinta-feira (3) e vai até 13 de agosto.
Dos 15 atletas paralímpicos brasileiros convocados para participar do Mundial, 4 são do Time São Paulo: Lauro Chaman, Sabrina Custódia da Silva, Mariana Garcia Classe e André Luiz Grizante. De 3 a 8 de agosto, as disputas são nas pistas e, no restante, as corridas passam para a estrada.
